Hey.

Well I hope y’all had a fun week. Sorry I didn’t write an email last week. I didn’t really feel like it. But, lucky for you, I kind of feel like writing something this week! Woot! Woot! Hopefully you enjoy reading these bad boys or else I’m sorry, and you’d better email me and I’ll take your name off my list 😉

I have no idea how long this email will be and I don’t plan on organizing it, so just read it 🙂

So, a lot has occurred over the last 14 days. I am now training two greenies and it has been quite the ride. My Spanish is special and so it’s been pretty tricky to do missionary work and talk to people because I hardly understand anything (it honestly depends on the day…(and the person). We had zone conference last week, which lasted a few days. We had in person and video calls with the whole mission. I don’t feel like explaining the logistics of it, so just know the whole mission was involved. Anyway! We were encouraged to really think about our people and if they aren’t progressing, we were encouraged to drop them. We talked about how as missionaries, we are the “harvesters”. Yes, we also “plant seeds,” but our main purpose is to find, teach, and baptize those who are ready to receive the gospel. So, when we got home, we dropped about everyone on our teaching pool because none of them have been progressing. It took a lot to drop everyone but luckily we didn’t have to start from scratch. We received quite a few referrals that we have been working with. We had a lesson with someone who lives an hour away and it went pretty well. We have a goal as a zone to have at least 1 baptism by the end of the transfer. We are doing all we can to reach that goal. For some reason, our specific area has always been so slow and we haven’t seen a lot of success, in terms of finding those people who are ready for baptism. Maybe it’s just me, but we’re hoping and praying that we can reach that goal!

During Zone Conference, President Adler changed Spanish Land Olé’s schedule so now we go to bed at 11:30 and get up at 7:30. We’re hoping we’ll find more success that way. We’re also using Facebook a lot more to try and find people. This pandemic has given the church and missionaries the opportunity to really implement the tools the Lord has given us, like technology in missionary work. It has been pretty incredible to see. I’m still totally a noob at everything, but I’m trying my best haha. I never thought I’d find myself in these circumstances. But, such is life! It’s kind of exciting that way though. Yeah it’s a bit scary, but also exciting because God has a plan that’s *way* better than mine.

Well, this past week we had a hurricane and experienced some *insane* wind and rain! There were branches amd leaves flying everywhere! Our power went out quite a few times, but by the end of the day, it was all fine and dandy again. I also had a phone call with a guy living in Mexico and I had a really good conversation with him. It was really cool. I can’t think of anything else that happened. I know there’s more but my brain is blanking out. But, hopefully you had a fun Halloween!

Anyway, there’s so much I don’t know, but what I *do* know, and what I want *you* to know is that Jesus Christ is real. He is our Savior and our Redeemer, and I look forward to the day He comes to this earth again. That will be a good day! He can be our light during these dark times if you let Him. He’s the only source of peace in this world, and I encourage you to turn to Him more than ever!

I love you all!
