Today will be a short email because TOMORROW I FLY OUT TO MEXICO and I still have a lot to do heh heh…So you better enjoy it!…if you want to…
Well, as this transfer came to a close and I reflect back on it, the Lord’s hand has been so evident in this great work. Since the moment Elder Jensen and I arrived in this beautiful area of Sharon, God has been showing us that He’s in control. It has been so amazing to be a part of.
Guess what! There’s some good news. Last week, or two weeks ago I compared this area to an airplane taking off. Well this week I’m going to compare it to a wildfire…and then I’ll tell you the good news
First, imagine a massive forest. This forest can represent good ole’ Sharon. Now imagine that there’s a little campfire just chilling in the middle of it. Nice, right? Then imagine someone pouring a whole bottle of highly flammable lighter fluid all at once onto the flames. What happens? BOOM! Explosion of super hot fire! Well, that’s what happened to our area, and now the fire (you could say gospel) is spreading so rapidly it’s insane! Our area went from a tiny little spark to a roaring wildfire that’s spreading so fast, it’s hard to keep up with!
So the good news? About 2 weeks ago, we met a family that just moved here from Honduras. We anticipated there only being a few people in the house, but Elder Jensen and I were so surprised to find like 10 people and they all came in the room to listen to our message. Pretty crazy! What’s more, most of them came to church on Sunday! What’s even more insane?? Two of them are now on date to be baptized after a spiritual prompting Elder Jensen and I received to invite them to baptism during our lesson!! It was a huge miracle and an awesome experience!!!
Well, that was the highlight of our last 2 weeks. The rest is just the good ole’ grind
That’s it folks. The next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Mexico, sleeping in a hammock and sweating up a storm. Until then, I love you all and hope you have the most epic week of all time.
