Hey.
Merry Christmas. Here’s an email for y’all. I’ve honestly completely lost my motivation to write these bad bois, but whatever haha.
These past couple of weeks have been insane. I don’t really remember everything, but I remember we walked a lot.
Here are a couple things that have happened that I do remember though: -We are making a nativity for our upcoming Christmas dinner with the mission and it is definitely going to win. I’ll have to send pics or something -We’ve decorated our house and the office at the chapel with some nice Christmas lights for the holiday season (shoutout to my Mom! Love you! <3) -We had a massive service project cleaning up a school for Light the World with the elders from our Stake and a lot of other people. -We went to the mission offices last week to get our Influenza vaccines. That was fun. -We had our leadership conference -Our areas are popping and we found some pretty amazing people that we’re teaching -We had an incredible lesson with one of the people we’re teaching named Mari and set a baptismal date for Christmas Eve! -We also have been teaching the dad of one of the recent converts in our area. He’s really old but a super sweet guy. We set a baptismal date for Christmas Day! We’ll see if it happens because he might travel to Mexico City, but we’re hoping soon he can take that step! -BIG news: We are now a trio with our District leader, Elder Ruff. His companion went home and there are an odd number of Elders in the mission right now….so naturally we were put together to cover all 4 wards 😮. It’s been INSANELY busy. Our days after lunch are literally completely filled with lessons, and booking it from one end of the area to the other. We have SO many meetings as well between all of our responsibilities but we’re having a party. We’re way excited for Christmas. -With both areas, we are also teaching two kids that have the goal to get baptized. It’s very probable it will be next week on the 19th. Needless to say, even though we are super busy, we’ve seen so many miracles! -This Christmas, we definitely aren’t going to get any snow but we’re looking forward to the type of white Christmas that we’ll have ☺
That’s about all I can remember. Up until now, I’ve seen endless opposition in the way of becoming who I want to become but through it all I can say that I know that God is real. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that His birth and His life are the most important things that have ever happened on this earth and in all of eternity. He gave us His life, so we can live forever with those we love. Through Christ, change is possible. The times when I’ve seen the most change are when I put everything into His hands. I absolutely LOVE this quote by President David O. McKay:
“The greatest battles you will ever fight will be within the silent chambers of your heart” That is the battleground between what you want and what the Lord wants. If you surrender, if the Lord wins, you win also. If you win, if your will prevails, you and the Lord both lose. The only way to win is to lose. Lose yourself in the Lord’s work, and you will win beyond your wildest imaginations, for “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
I love you all!
