Que pasa calabazas? How’s life?

I hope you are all just dandy.

Welcome to my email! 😘 Let’s get this show on the road.

This past week has been quite the rollercoaster ride, but things are starting to look up! Heavenly Father is so good and has been helping us so much. I’m super grateful for Him. Heavenly Father is so kind and loving. He is always anxious to bless us if we turn to Him.

👍Life is Possible!

This past week, me and Elder Raymond finally completed our video after much hard work. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it on my Facebook! We spent a lot of time planning, filming, and editing and we were pretty pleased with how it turned out. I can definitely say the video was inspired from God. As we planned, filmed and edited, a few times we received some direction on what to do. We could tell that a lot of the ideas we received were from God. It was super cool. It was really stressful to make it but it was worth it. We stayed up a little late trying to finish it on time. We were editing for HOURS. Even though I was wearing some blue light glasses, my eyes and head still hurt. But the message of our video is that even though life is hard, it is possible by living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Especially when we pray and read the Book of Mormon. I have definitely seen the difference in my life when I pray and read the Book of Mormon. I literally feel extra strength from heaven throughout my day. So, if you want extra help from heaven to help you in your busy, stressful, and hard lives, don’t forget to pray and read the Book of Mormon every day! Also, if you’re one of those people that does it at night, I challenge you to try doing in the morning before you start your day!

👌Good Weather

It is now September and you know what that means! The best season is on it’s way! I love the transition time between summer and autumn, because the weather is perfect, and the air feels so fresh, plus the leaves start changing color and it is just so beautiful. Another great part is pumpkin spice flavored things! I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty basic but I do love me a good pumpkin spice bagel or belvita or pumpkin bread. It literally brings me joy and reminds me of my family and friends. So it’s a good time. The other day it was actually cool outside and I almost cried. It was so refreshing! I’m definitely looking forward to the cooler weather on it’s way!

🙌 Transfers

Last night we got transfer news and I was a little worried I’d be put somewhere else because I’ve gotten really close to my district, especially Elder Raymond and the zone leaders. Also I’m half way done with my training and didn’t want to get another trainer. Not to mention, we are just barely starting to see the fruits of our efforts with the members and people we are teaching in this area. PLUS, me and Elder Raymond make some fire videos together and we’d make some dang good video specialists. Needless to say, I had some concerns. But, luckily the Lord knows what’s best and for now, I’m staying! So are Elder Raymond and the zone leaders. I’m super happy about that. But in 2 weeks we’ll see if we’ll be turned into a trio because 16 new Spanish missionaries are coming and there are only 14 Spanish companionships. So anything could happen. But for now, that’s that.

🙏 Conclusion

Honestly there’s not a whole lot to write every week. It’s basically the same thing every day, hitting the grind at 6:30 in the morning and working as hard as we can to find new people to teach. I mean we made some cookies to bring to some of our people the other day, but they weren’t there so that was a bit sad, and all 6 of our scheduled lessons fell through yesterday. So we’ve been hitting a couple of obstacles, but we’re still moving forward. We’re starting to see a little bit more success with contacting people, so that’s good. Super random, but 2 giant spiders just moved in next door and every time we go out onto the porch at night, they’re either just chilling or grinding away making their webs bigger than they already are. We’re not sure if we’ll be able to be friends with these neighbors. One web goes from the second floor at the top of a tree, all the way to the roof!! It’s HUGE. I can just imagine that spider yeeting itself off the roof to make its web. We have no idea how else it made its web reach that far. Anyway, back to less random things. Me and Elder Raymond are going to be making another video for our page banner on Facebook and another one this week for some new zone initiatives. We’re pretty excited! Ummmm what else? We had interviews with President and Sister Adler this week (our mission President and his wife) so that was cool. Me and Elder Raymond are pickleball PROS now. You might see us in the big leagues after the mish. Hmmmm, well I can’t think of anything else to write.

I hope you are all doing super well! Just know that God loves you, and is aware of you at this very moment. Keep moving forward. Trust in Him and trust in His timing because it is always perfect. I read a super awesome talk last week called “Divine Discontent” by Sister Michelle D. Craig from the October 2018 General Conference. I encourage you to go read it! That talk helped me change my perspective. In fact I don’t encourage you to go read it, I challenge you to do it! Then email me your thoughts about it 😉

Okay, well, that’s it folks. Have an amazing week!

Pictures (In no particular order):

1. After many long hours in the editing room aka the family history center.

2. I am one with the trees and the trees are with me.

3. Missionary work in 2020. Got me some stylin’ blue light glasses since we are on a screen for so long every day

4. What we thought was our last district council. We had to get some more swing pictures because that’s what we did in our first district council.

5. A lil’ frog we found while playing pickleball. My hands were sweaty because we play hard 😤

6. Some cool koi fish we saw at a pond place. Pretty cool. If you put your finger in they would bite it.

7. We went to an awesome escape room for P-Day!! We beat it with no hints and time to spare!

8. Bowling for our second P-Day activity (the escape room went super fast so we decided to go bowling as well).

9. One of the spiders I was talking about 👀
