Howdy!
How is life treating y’all? I hope the answer is “really well!” If not, then go eat a muffin and that might make you feel better 🍕
Well, I don’t have a ton of time today, but I thought maybe I’d send a little something today. Honestly, I’m not even sure what to write about. Since last week, not much has happened. Last week, we spent 3 whole days at the church because I was editing a live video for our Facebook page and we ran into SO many technical issues that we had to delay the event for a day. It was a pretty big headache, but luckily it all worked out and the video was a huge success! Woohoo! 🙌
We have also been put into quarantine until we find out if a member we were with gets his test results back to see if he has COVID. So far, none of us have had any symptoms and it’s super unlikely that the member has it, but it’s just a precaution. So that’s been interesting.
We’ve been working as hard as we can to find new people this week, because our teaching pool is very small. Hopefully we find success in the different avenues we are trying.
Today was P-Day, and we played some good ole’ pickleball and kickball. Yours truly broke his toe while kicking 🙄 Pretty lame way to break it, but luckily it’s not too bad. I can still walk on it just fine.
It’s time to get real for a second. I think I may have said this in the past before, but coming on a mission has not been some magical experience for me. A mission is not some hunky dory experience. It’s not just some huge spiritual high, and it’s not any easier to talk to people, resist temptation, be a good person, or work hard. In fact, it’s just as hard as before, if not more so. Coming on a mission has not changed me. But, it has given me the opportunity to change and become better. That is often how life works. God will never change us for us, but He *will* give us *opportunities* to change, and if we will try our best, and humble ourselves before Him, He will help us to change. It’s not easy, but it *is* possible. I’m still working on changing. I’m so far from perfect, and I have a lot to change and fix. So, if you, like me have sins, weaknesses, and bad habits that you wanna change, then take those opportunities that God will put into your path to make those changes. It will not come all at once, and that can be pretty frustrating (trust me, I know). But, it will come, no matter how painful the process may be. Though Jesus Christ, change is ALWAYS possible. Just remember, your direction is ever more important than your speed!
Sorry this email was kinda short and weird, but I hope you have a great week. Sorry to those I didn’t email back this week, but just know that I still love you and you’re in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll catch you next week 😘
