Hey. Guess. What.

I don’t feel like writing an email today because we went ham this morning and deep cleaned our house and then had to wash our clothes by hand… I’m tired heh…

This email will be short and sweet.

Last week, I told a ridiculously long story, with a sad cliffhanger. Well, I’m happy to report that this week, God answered my fervent prayers. We had another lesson with the guy who we thought was just gonna bash us again, but it ended up being a spiritual lesson. We were able to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel.

But that’s not all! We experienced a couple of incredible miracles this week. We have been focusing heavily on the Restoration and baptism and  and we now have 3 people who have a baptismal date. My son even put one of them on date and I’m so proud 😭 The Lord is for sure guiding this work!

I gotta say, out of all the missionary lessons and messages we share, the Restoration is my absolute favorite! I don’t think any other message we share quite matches the spirit and majesty of the message of the Restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was reading in Mosiah 18 this week and realized what an insanely powerful teaching tool it is! It is perfect for bringing up baptism and explaining how to church is set up nowadays, as well as the importance of personal prayer and keeping the sabbath day holy. So, to those who are my missionary friends, go check out Mosiah 18! It’ll blow your mind if it hasn’t already!

Anyway, we’ve just been out here grinding suuuuuuper hard. The nights are never enough sleep but the Spirit is always enough to keep us going. It’s satisfying to be a part of this work and even though sometimes we don’t see the fruit, or sometimes bitter fruit grows instead of the good fruit we’re expecting or hoping for, it’s a privilege to know that the Lord of the Vineyard himself, Jesus Christ, is laboring with us. I always find comfort in that thought.

Well friends, it looks like this is the end. God is real. Jesus is real. The Church of Jesus Christ is true and nothing is greater than His gospel.

Have a wonderful week. Bendiciones!

Love,
-Elder Gifford
