Hey, buenas!

This week passed pretty quickly, not gonna lie. So much happened and I can’t remember the half of it. My mind always blanks out the second I start trying to write a weekly, but whatever.

This week won’t be too extensive or anything.

I’ll just summarize the most important stuff.

Two kids we’ve been teaching got baptized yesterday!! It was special because they aren’t from our original area; they’re from the area of our 3rd comp (which is now our area as well), but I had taught them before on divisions and was even there when we taught them and put them all on date for baptism. In these last few weeks, we taught them the rest of the lessons and yesterday they both got baptized. They were super excited! We were too. We are also excited because next week, or sometime soon, we are hoping that their Dad can get baptized too.

While we were waiting for everyone to get changed, we sung Christmas hymns, which brought the Spirit so strongly. We were singing of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, the greatest gift in the world, and whose example these two kids followed by being baptized. Afterwards, we sung “Families Can Be Together Forever,” and I felt such a strong reassurance that families really can be together forever. I felt so close to my Heavenly Father. It was a special moment to me. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge that I can be with my loved ones after this life. I can’t think of anything else better than that. If I know anything, it’s that Jesus Christ lives, and that because of Him, my family can be together forever. That’s not something I believe. It’s something I know and hold dear to my heart.

That’s all for now. I love you all and hope you have a Merry Christmas! 🎅

Love,

-Elder Gifford
